Going for the green on a long par 5 in 2 shots, now takes 3 or 4 shots. That 150-yard shot into the green used to be a 9-iron, now it’s a 7-iron. Those stiff steel shafts have been replaced by lightweight graphite that you complain to your friends feels “too whippy.” It’s inevitable folks, you aren’t as young as you used to be. On March 9, 2013, Playing Through Adaptive Golf Institute, Inc. hosted its first event – Adaptive Golf Experience Clinic at Weston Hills Country Club, Weston, FL. In partnership with David Windsor of Adaptive Golf Academy, Inc. of Sarasota, FL, and with the support of Nova Southeastern University Occupational Therapy Students and Faculty, adaptive golf was introduced to the South Florida community.
