I’m Getting Too Old For This

Going for the green on a long par 5 in 2 shots, now takes 3 or 4 shots. That 150-yard shot into the green used to be a 9-iron, now it’s a 7-iron. Those stiff steel shafts have been replaced by lightweight graphite that you complain to your friends feels “too whippy.” It’s inevitable folks, you aren’t as young as you used to be. Beginning Your Adaptive Golf Experience

Beginning June 1, 2013, we will require a 30-minute, one-on-one introductory lesson with a certified adaptive golf instructor. The cost will be $25.00 per golfer. The purpose of this lesson is to assess goals, abilities, and individual needs to provide a more enriching golf experience. After the mandatory lesson, open golf will be available on Tuesdays from 3:00-6:00PM. Open golf is free. Individual and small group instructional packages are available. On March 9, 2013, Playing Through Adaptive Golf Institute, Inc. hosted its first event – Adaptive Golf Experience Clinic at Weston Hills Country Club, Weston, FL. In partnership with David Windsor of Adaptive Golf Academy, Inc. of Sarasota, FL, and with the support of Nova Southeastern University Occupational Therapy Students and Faculty, adaptive golf was introduced to the South Florida community.
